With a bow to Captain Jean Luc Picard (Star Trek-The Next Generation) and his capture by The Borg  where he is assured that “resistance is futile!”  Sunday’s sermon will focus on the theme of Practicing Resistance as a way of life using a model from the beginning of the Book of Exodus as a point of departure.  The celebration of Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday could not be more timely.
