The Ecospiritual and the Ecomoral with Dr. Ursula Goodenough

Probably most Unitarians are religious naturalists even if they don’t know it. Most of us would agree that we are naturalists – that our science-based understandings of the natural world represent reality. We also take these understandings to heart, take nature to heart, offering such spiritual responses as awe, gratitude, reverence, humility, and joy, and adopting a moral commitment to planetary sustainability. To explore and celebrate the religious naturalist orientation, I will be offering monthly Sunday services at UUSMV, with input from our Covenant of UU Pagans (CUUPs) and our ecoactivist members, the goal being to develop what some of us are calling RNUU.
