Five Weeks in Palestine: A Personal Journey with Edward Zlotkowski

In the fall of last year, just a month shy of my 81st birthday, I travelled to Hebron on the West Bank to teach English. In this talk I want to share not only what I learned about the occupation but also how this experience helped me renew and redefine my life.

Edward Zlotkowski has lived on the Vineyard for 31 years. He has taught at Wesleyan University, Boston University, and Bentley University. Between 1995 and 2005 he served as a Senior Associate at the American Association for Higher Education where he led an initiative linking experiential learning and civic engagement. For over two decades his wife, Ellen Wolfe, was the owner of Once in a Blue Moon, a clothing and jewelry boutique in Edgartown.
