“People of the Impossible” with Rev. Rob Hardies (Zoom Visit to the First Parish Cambridge Unitarian Universalist Church)
We are living in a moment when it seems that our hopes and dreams for a better world are diminishing. As we celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. we consider the ways in which our sense of what’s “possible” can limit our social, religious and political imagination. If we are to build the Beloved Community that Dr. King dreamed of, we must become “People of the Impossible.”
Join us in the Chapel at 10 am before we Zoom into Rev. Rob’s service from First Parish Cambridge Unitarian Universalist Church. His service begins at 10:30 am, and we will have time beforehand to socialize and enjoy some hospitality. Peter Halperin will provide background music, and there will be a time for reflection after the service. Rev. Rob’s service will be streamed on our screen for everyone to watch together.
Zoom participants can join the UUSMV Zoom prior to the service to connect and chat. At 10:30 am, open Zoom, select “join” and type in Meeting ID: 155 025 783 to join Rev. Rob Hardies at First Parish Cambridge Unitarian Universalist Church. After the service, you can return to the UUSMV Zoom to reflect with other UUSMV participants.
