Sometimes our lives run a-muck! In Zen Buddhism, the symbol of enlightenment—the lotus flower—grows from the muck of the swamp’s bottom. Zen Buddhists have a saying: “No muck. No lotus.” Can we blossom like the lotus from the muck of life’s failures and disappointments?
