UUSMV members Rebecca Gilbert and Ursula Goodenough will explain why they have chosen Green
Burial for themselves. Ursula, a professor of biology for many years at Washington University in St.
Louis, is the author of the The Sacred Depths of Nature, recently revised and republished. Rebecca,
proprietor of Native Earth Teaching Farm in Chilmark, spoke with Barbara Caseau about green burial
during their last conversation, just before Barbara’s death and subsequent Green Burial in February.
Rebecca will include Barbara’s thoughts along with her own. Betsy Young Buck has done extensive
research and will make available a list of resources on Green Burial, mostly online.
